MAPLE FINANCIAL GROUP ACQUIRES STONE STREET FINANCIAL

BETHESDA, MD, June 1, 2004—Maple Financial Group has acquired the remaining minority interest in Stone Street Financial bringing their holdings to 100% ownership.

This exciting step in the evolution of Stone Street Financial will ensure that Stone Street Financial can grow to meet the rapidly changing and demanding needs of the life settlement industry.

The acquisition immediately impacts the name of the company, which will change to Maple Life Financial.

Today’s announcement signifies this and reflects a blueprint for success put in place from the very start,” said Lawrence Brown, co-founder and chief executive officer, Maple Life Financial.

The acquisition and the name change further demonstrate our commitment to this new asset class.”

Nate Evans, president, Maple Life Financial, adds, “This is an exciting time for Maple Life Financial. As part of the transaction, there will be a transition in leadership from Lawrence Brown, co-founder and chief executive officer to Nate Evans, president. Mr. Evans’ prior business experience includes 14 years at Allstate Financial were he held variety of leadership positions. Mr. Evans was also vice president at ZeBU / Integrated Insurance Technologies, where he lead sales and marketing as well as provided operations and technology consulting services to a number of the nations largest life insurers. Mr. Brown will remain a consultant to the company for a period of months.

In connection with the name change, the company has modified its logo and web site (www.MapleLifeFinancial.com). Changes to the logo include a blending of corporate styles and the development of the slogan “Looking at LIFE in a new light™”.
